Private Events & Team building
Look no further than The Botany Shop to host your next team building or friends & family outing. Our workshop space can accommodate up to 10 people for a hands-on creation session, with available offerings changing seasonally. Prices and descriptions listed below. You’re welcome to BYOB and snacks for any event.
Off-Site Events
If your group is larger than 10, we’re also happy to bring the Shop to you. Off-site events come with an additional set-up and travel fee of $50.
Scheduling & reservations
We ask for at least three weeks lead time when scheduling a private event to ensure we’re able to source materials and provide staff support. When you’re ready to chat about making a reservation, please follow the link below.

Plant stylist & instructor
Melodie brings years of experience in customer care and empowerment to the Botany team, along with a boundless creativity, attention to detail, and love for plants and people. She joined Botany in May of 2023 and is the mastermind behind our custom plant creations. She also leads the workshops and private events where she teacher plant lovers to make these living works of art.
Available Workshops
Each offering includes a brief (5-10 min) fun-facts overview related to your project, so your group can learn more about the special pieces you’re creating.
Perennial offerings
Air plant terrariums | $25/person
Learn about the fascinating world of air plants (Tillandsia) as you create your own artful air plant terrarium. You’ll have full access to our popular Terrarium Bar supplies, including a range of sands, gravel, glass, stones, driftwood, shells, figurines, and more.
Kokedama | $45/person
Kokedama translates to “moss ball” and is an artful and alternative way to display and showcase indoor plants by replacing a traditional pot with a moss-wrapped ball of soil. Fee includes a 4-inch plant of your choice, materials, and instruction.
tropical terrariums | $55/person
Terrariums are magical. These tiny ecosystems grow harmoniously within elegant glassware and make a statement in any space. They come alive through plant styling as we fashion them into miniature landscapes through adding rocks, stone, driftwood, and other found objects.
Participants will create an 8" globe terrarium with expert guidance from Botany's plant stylists. All supplies and your choice of 3 terrarium plants included.
succulent arrangements | $50/person
Create the perfect conversation centerpiece for your home or sun porch with these substantial succulent planters. Participants will create their centerpiece with guidance from Botany's plant stylists. All supplies and your choice of 5 large succulents + decor (rocks, driftwood, shells, colored glass, etc.) included.
MOSS WALL ART | $35/person
Bring the look and feel of a quiet and sheltered forest nook into your home with an eye-catching and low-maintenance preserved moss and air plant wall art piece. The vibrant colors and textures of the preserved moss make a perfect backdrop for these epiphytic wonder plants. Each participant will receive a small wooden board to be decorated with preserved moss, provided in an array of colors, and two tillandsia plants. This touch-of-the-wild can best be admired in a humid space like a bathroom or perhaps as a gift to a friend entering the wonderful world of plants.
Seasonal Offerings
Flower Crowns | $15/person
Available July-September, create your own work of ephemeral, wearable, botanical art with a hand-made flower crown. We source only in-season, locally grown or sustainably foraged materials for our crowns, so they’ll always reflect the season.
